Getting started
What should I do in the first hour?
Create categories, add three hero dishes with multi-angle photos, and wait for AR Ready status. Then generate a QR and test on your phone at a real table.

Photos & AR models
What photos work best?
Front, side, top, and 3/4 angles; clean background; even lighting; no heavy filters. Several angles beat one glamorous shot.
How long does AR processing take?
Typically a few business days depending on queue and photo quality. Starter and Growth include priority processing versus Free.
Can guests use AR without an app?
Yes. BeforeTable uses WebAR in Safari and Chrome for the core experience—no App Store install for diners.
QR codes & orders
How do table QR codes work?
Generate codes in the dashboard, print them, place on tables. Guests scan to open the menu/AR preview. You can update dishes without reprinting if the link target stays the same.
Why is my order not showing?
Confirm the restaurant is open (hours), the dish is available and Ready, and you are logged into the correct restaurant dashboard. Refresh orders or kitchen view.
Do I need Growth for kitchen display?
Kitchen/order tools are available on Free for core flows. Analytics and fuller QR coverage are Growth features—see Pricing.
Plans & billing
How do upgrades work?
Upgrade from Free to Starter ($20/mo, 15 AR) or Growth ($200/mo, 50 AR) when you need more slots or features. Enterprise is custom.

Troubleshooting
AR does not open on a guest phone
Try Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android, allow camera permissions for AR, and ensure a strong network. 3D preview in-browser should still work even if full AR placement fails.
I hit my AR dish limit
Free allows 3 Ready AR products. Upgrade plan or replace an existing AR slot. Limits are enforced to keep pricing honest.
